The Capel Street project involved the redevelopment of a protected structure including the retention of an historical facade and conversion of a 18th century mill building into loft style office suites and 11 apartments. Obtaining planning permission for this sensitive development which incorporated the living over the shop initiative as part of the Historic Area Rejuvenation Project of Dublin City Council involved detailed consultations with the conservation department and strategic development section of the City Council.
The resultant project brought life and activity back into what was then an area of the city requiring regeneration and return to its former days as a major commercial thoroughfare in the city.
